In everyday life, not everything goes according to plan.
There are moments when something gets interrupted: a problem, an unexpected change, a situation that throws us off balance. In coaching, we often refer to these moments as breakdowns.
Many of these challenges are beyond our control: a loss, a conflict, or difficulties at work. Feeling frustrated is natural. And yet, there is something that remains within our control: the attitude with which we respond.
Breakdowns become problems or challenges depending on the meaning we give them. We can remain stuck in what went wrong, or begin to ask ourselves what we can do with what has happened. That is where the real space for action begins.
Coaching works precisely at this point, in how we interpret our experiences and the decisions we make in response to them. It does not seek to prevent breakdowns, but to transform them into opportunities for growth.
Because in the end, it is not only about what happens to us, but about how we respond. And within that response, there is always a possibility: to turn an obstacle into the beginning of something different.
”Coaching is not about avoiding breakdowns,
but about turning them into opportunities for growth.”
